Frequently asked questions

How many pixels do I need for a print?

Multiply the print size in inches by your target DPI. At 300 DPI, an 8x10 inch print needs 2400x3000 pixels.

What DPI should I use for printing?

300 DPI is the standard for high-quality prints. 150-200 DPI can be acceptable for large prints viewed from a distance, such as posters.

What if my image doesn't have enough pixels?

Use the AI Image Upscaler to increase your image's resolution up to 10X. It reconstructs detail as it enlarges, so you can reach print resolution without the image becoming blurry.

What is the difference between DPI and PPI?

PPI (pixels per inch) describes a digital image's pixel density; DPI (dots per inch) describes a printer's output. In everyday use the terms are used interchangeably when planning a print.
